Ways a vehicle can support you

My brainstorm of unique user experience moments & themes

Experience focus 1

55.1% of adults in Los Angeles speak languages other than English at home.

Vehicle senses you and the surrounding to respond differently

Experience focus 2

Vehicle as an assistant that knows and supports you

Design Believes

What the user experience is design around

About AI

55.1% of adults in Los Angeles speak languages other than English at home.

AI today are passive: you give an input, it react. We are designing for proactive experience, it knows you and respond proactively.

About information

55.1% of adults in Los Angeles speak languages other than English at home.

People are surrounding with technology, information everyday, everywhere. We are designing to only provide the information you need. When nothing needed, bring back a sanctuary of zero tech.

55.1% of adults in Los Angeles speak languages other than English at home.

About the space

55.1% of adults in Los Angeles speak languages other than English at home.

Space is adjusted based on need. When one person's there, you can freely occupy the space, information flow with it.

A day with Möbius

I mapped out the holistic user story of how the vehicle support you throughout a day

Information distributes to support the flows

To support the immersive experience, I mapped out this circular screen layout. Depends on where you sit, information adjusts and moves with you

Early set of design explorations around non-boundary immersive, circular screen

To make the particle respond naturally, I tested out in blender using geometry nodes

Final particle languages

The vehicle proactively communicate with you through lock screen shortcuts

We also have an actual model! (One of my teammate did it mainly, I helped a little bit on spraying and sanding)

Our final design got chosen into the ArtCenter gallery! (Model photography)

Looking back, I learned that

Design for a perspective

When there's already so many vehicles out in the market, as a student project, holding a distinct and unique perspective that derived from research is what separate the project from an ordinary design.

All as one
