Context

This is a service design of Pasadena Senior Center particularly on the layout and the process for introvert elders to join in the community comfortably. Along with a homepage redesign of the existing website that provide an additional way for elders to get to know the layout, the events, and join the Senior Center online.

According to Wold Organization of Health, by 2050, the world's population of people aged 60 years and older will reach 2.1 billion.

Number of people of over 65 years in one-person households increased by 17% in 20 years

96% of those aged over 65 live in their own home, 4% live in care homes

According to American Association of Retired Persons, social isolation: “feeling detached from support groups of family, friends and community have a 26 percent increased risk of early death.”

According to Senior Services of America, most elderly are looking for a sense of self, purpose and community.

There are over 500 graduating alumni
